Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the EASA Part-66 route, what AvioNepal does, and where things stand today.

The licence & the exams

Q. Is this certificate valid for an EASA AML application worldwide?

Yes. Each module you pass earns a Certificate of Recognition (CoR) issued by our EASA Part-147 approved partner organisation, valid for 10 years. Those certificates count toward an EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence application in any EASA member state — the licence itself is issued by that state's civil aviation authority, alongside the required practical experience. See Know Your Pathway for the full route.

Q. What happens if I fail a module?

It's a separate-visit retake — you register again for that module ahead of the next available session and continue from there. No restarting your whole registration. See the Recovery Track for details.

Q. Do I need practical experience too, or is passing the exams enough?

Exams are half the journey. The full licence also requires years of documented, real-world maintenance experience (per EASA rule 66.A.30) — module certificates alone don't make you licensed. We help you start with the exams; see Know Your Pathway for what that means in practice.

Q. Is this the same as Nepal's own aircraft maintenance licence?

No. These exams lead toward a European EASA licence for international careers — separate from Nepal's own NCAR Part-66 system administered by CAAN. If your goal is a Nepali licence, consult CAAN directly.

AvioNepal's role

Q. Is AvioNepal a training school?

No. We facilitate internationally recognised exams and provide guidance — the EASA route is largely self-study, or through any training provider you choose. We don't teach the syllabus, write exam content, or grade papers.

Q. How are exam papers handled and kept secure?

Exam content, grading, and security are handled entirely by our EASA Part-147 approved partner organisation under their standard procedures — AvioNepal has no role in exam content or security. Our role is limited to venue, invigilation, and local logistics.

Q. How long does it take to receive my Certificate of Recognition (CoR)?

Processing and issuance timelines are set by our partner organisation, not AvioNepal, so we'd rather not quote a number here we can't stand behind. Contact us for current timing before you register.

Q. Can you guarantee I'll pass, or get a job afterward?

No one honestly can — but an EASA Part-66 licence is one of aviation's most in-demand, portable credentials, and we support you along the way.
