How an exam sitting actually happens

Nothing here is hidden or informal — every step is documented, and every candidate knows exactly where they stand.

01 / APPLY

Choose your module

Submit eligibility documents and reserve your seat with a deposit. Self-study candidates welcome — no enrolment required.

02 / CONFIRM

Session is scheduled

Once enough candidates are confirmed, the date is locked with the partner organisation and you're notified directly.

03 / ONLINE REVIEW

One review session, online

About a week before your exam, the recognised EASA Part-147 school runs a single online review session with you — before its instructor travels to Kathmandu.

04 / SIT THE EXAM

Examiner arrives in Kathmandu

You sit the exam locally, under the same conditions, security, and standard as sitting it in Europe.

05 / RECEIVE

Get your CoR

Results are verified and your Certificate of Recognition is issued by the partner organisation and delivered to you.

The Recovery Track

Not passing a module on your first attempt doesn't derail your Part-66 journey. It's a separate-visit retake: you register again for that module ahead of the next available session and continue from there — no restarting your whole registration, no separate programme to join.

Retake type Separate-visit retake
What changes Only the module(s) you're retaking — the rest of your registration stays the same.
Why become an AME

A globally recognised, in-demand career

An EASA Part-66 licence isn't just a certificate — it's a portable, internationally respected qualification. Here's the case, with sourced figures.

01

In global demand

The world will need around 710,000 new maintenance engineers by 2044. Licensed engineers are scarce and sought after.

02

Work anywhere

An EASA licence is recognised across Europe and respected worldwide — your passport to the Gulf, Asia and beyond.

03

Strong earnings

Licensed engineers earn well — often tax-free in the Gulf — with clear progression to senior, higher-paid roles.

04

Secure & real

Every aircraft must be signed off by a licensed engineer. It's hands-on work that can't be automated or outsourced.

Why candidates choose a local sitting

Everything a flight to Europe costs you — removed

01

No travel, no visa, no layover

The full cost and time of flying to Europe, the Gulf, or India for a few hours of examination — gone.

02

Genuinely EASA-recognised

Every exam is conducted under an EASA Part-147 approved organisation's own authority, standard, and question bank.

03

One accountable local contact

A registered Nepali company, not an ad-hoc arrangement — from registration through to your certificate.

04

Built for self-study candidates

Sit the modules you're ready for, when you're ready — no requirement to enrol in a multi-month course first.

What AvioNepal is — and isn't

AvioNepal is the aviation wing of WePower Engineering and Technology Pvt. Ltd., a Nepali company registered in Kathmandu since 2018 (registration no. 187002/074/075). We host the room. We don't own the exam.

All examination content, standards, and Certificates of Recognition are owned entirely by our EASA Part-147 approved partner organisation, Aviotrace Swiss, and its competent authority — regardless of where the exam is physically sat.

  • WE DOVenue, invigilation, candidate screening, local logistics, CAAN awareness, payment handling, and coordinating one online review session with the recognised EASA Part-147 school about a week before your exam.
  • WE DON'TTeach the syllabus, write exam content, grade papers, issue licences, provide e-books or on-demand video lessons, run live online briefings or one-to-one coaching, or operate our own physical training centre.
  • ALWAYSEvery result and certificate is determined solely by the partner organisation, never by us.
  • OPEN TO ALLCandidates from any training school, college, or self-study background are welcome — we're independent of any single training provider, not a competing school.
  • EASA, NOT NCARThese exams lead toward a European EASA licence for international careers — separate from Nepal's own NCAR Part-66 system administered by CAAN. If you need a Nepali licence, consult CAAN directly. Read the full pathway →
